Homecoming, a collaborative creation by VectorOpenStock's team, was inspired by the surrealist Cadavre Exquis technique. The team gathered around a table, each equipped with a sheet of paper divided into 5 parts. They took turns drawing on one part for 3 minutes before rotating the pages to the left and repeating the process until the entire sheet was filled. The Trash Machine is one of the incredible outcomes of this artistic experiment. Check out the pictures showcasing the creative process here: here. exquisite-corpse cadavre-exquis cadaver-exquisito Exquisite Homecoming Collab

The head of a creepy man smiles at us, seeing the ages that have gone by since he was created. The original artist, long and gone, this work lives on. The original ad proudly proclaimed: "Every body and his big grandmother are going to buy their valentines at cupid's original head quarters, J. Shillington's Odeon building" I wonder where the small grandmothers got their cupid stuff. smile man black and white Smiling Creepy Face

Ironically this was a pamphlet from 1800 that seemed to endorse drinking (it said "the law that deprives the citizen of his whiskey, rum, gin, or beer, deprives him of his liberty.") but the guy that this image was distilled from clearly cant handle his booze. He is fried; drunker than a skunk--- as the saying goes. gin drunk poor Drunk on Gin & No Juice
I was browsing through an old 1909 (thus public domain) issue of the Pullman Herald newspaper and came across this delightful illustration for a Clothcraft Clothes ad. The placement and behavior of the characters is most interesting. Here for the future to enjoy! suit old woman Two Young Gents and a Lady
